Write a Letter to the Editor to Raise Awareness of Increasing Federal ALS Research Funding
Federal funding for ALS research must be increased to find new treatment options and a cure for ALS. You can raise awareness in your community by sending a letter to the editor to your local newspaper and asking your United States Senators and Representative to support increasing funding for ALS research.
We are asking Congress to increase ALS research funding to the following levels in the 2024 budget:
- $80 million for the Department of Defense ALS Research Program
- $150 million for the National Institutes of Health
- $100 million for the ACT for ALS
- $15 million for the National ALS Registry and Biorepository
