Stop Debanking!
The cannabis industry generates billions in revenue each year and employs over 400,000 people. Debanking, which includes unjustified account closures, loan and mortgage denials, and service rejections by financial institutions, seriously impacts this rapidly-growing industry. No other industry has experienced debanking like this, and it’s critical Congress acts now. We must treat cannabis businesses fairly – like any other small business.
The Senate Banking Committee has scheduled a hearing on “debanking” and wants to hear from businesses and individuals affected by banking discrimination.
